What is CPNI?
CPNI is basically call and
account detail. Anything that pertains to a customer’s bill, account
information, features, or calling patterns is considered CPNI.
CPNI for Marketing Purposes
The Mound Bayou Telephone Company
does not use its customer’s CPNI for marketing purposes.
Account Information
Any person that makes a
request for information on an account, or make changes or additions to an
account must first be named as an “authorized user”. Authorized users can
only be added to an account by the person whose name is on the listing of that
account. Any requests by anyone who is not an authorized user will be
denied. This rule is for the protection of the customer and is followed by
all telephone companies including the Mound Bayou Telephone Company. These new
rules were put into effect March 1, 2008 by the Federal Communications
Commission.
